Paccari Organic Raw Cacao Paste is a phytonutrient rich, 100% raw cacao paste, also known as ceremonial cacao paste. In ancient times, cacao was used as a form of currency, medicine, and even religious rituals by the Aztec and Maya. Today a cacao ceremony usually involves a communal gathering and a celebratory ritual that opens the heart through the use of cacao.
The authentically raw cacao paste is sourced from native organic certified varieties of Arriba Nacional cacao, which is exclusively grown in Ecuador by small farmers on non monoculture plantations, but trees within the Amazon rainforest. The cacao is processed at low temperatures to ensure the delicate compounds remain intact. Cacao is a rich source of antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, fiber, protein, and essential fatty acids. Its high levels of magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, and vitamin B6 make it a great food to add to your daily diet.
The ceremonial organic raw cacao paste can be used to make ceremonial cacao hot chocolates, raw chocolates, pralines and other delicious treats.
